My friend Piyush Manush has been arrested for obviously no legal reasons. He fought for the voiceless people in our so called democratic country. Please read this post and support him online with the hashtag #StandWithPiyush . This is the same man who won an award for his selfless service to humanity during Chennai floods. A man who has always stood against injustice whether its against humans or animals or environment.
Most of us would not have even a small percent of courage n strength he has, the least we can do is to support the release of Piyush n other Scf members.
BACKGROUND
Three members of the Salem Citizens Forum, including Piyush Manush Esan Karthik and Siva were arrested yesterday and remanded to judicial custody for raising perfectly legitimate questions regarding the hurried, illegal and unthought-out project of undertaking the construction of a railway overbridge in Salem’s busy Mulvadi Gate area. The Forum has been demanding for nearly four years now that the city should take the citizens in confidence, and commence the project only after the necessary lands for the project had been acquired. கல்வி- மேலுமொரு கேள்வி
//ஒரு குழந்தைக்கு ஒரேயொரு இளமைப்பருவம்தான். அதன் உற்சாகத்தையும் விளையாட்டையும் தானாக கற்றுக்கொள்வதன் பேரின்பத்தையும் அது தன் எதிர்காலத்தின் பொருட்டு முழுமையாகவே தியாகம் செய்யவேண்டும் என்றால் அது எத்தனை முட்டாள்தனம்? அந்த எதிர்காலமோ என்னவென்றே தெரியாத ஒன்று. அப்படிக்கற்றால் எதிர்காலம் வெற்றியாகும் என்பதற்கு எந்த உறுதியும் இல்லை. அப்படி கல்லாதவர்கள் அதே வெற்றியை அடையமாட்டார்கள் என்றும் சொல்லமுடியாது.

ஏனென்றால் நம் குழந்தைகள் நாளைக்கு நாம் விழைந்து உருவாக்கி அளிக்கும் பாதையில் போகாமல் சொந்த பாதைகளை தேர்வுசெய்யும்போது நாம் பதறக்கூடும். நாம் தோல்வியடைந்தோம் என எண்ணவும் கூடும். அவ்வாறு ஆசையும் திட்டமும் இருந்தால் அதற்கான கல்வியை அவர்களுக்கு அளிப்பதே முறை. ஆம், கொட்டடிக்கல்வி. அவ்வாறு தன் மக்களுக்கு அத்தகைய போட்டிக்கல்வியை அளித்து அவர்களை ஆளாக்கி நிறைவடைந்த பல நண்பர்கள் எனக்கும் இருக்கிறார்கள். அந்த பாதையை தவறு என நான் சொல்லமாட்டேன். அது அவர்களின் வழி. எனக்கு அது சரியெனப்படவில்லை, அவ்வளவுதான்

அவ்வழியில் குழந்தையை அதிகப்பயணம்செய்யத்தேவையில்லாத பள்ளியில், விளையாட்டும் சுயமான கல்வியும் அதிகமாக உள்ள பயிற்றுமுறையில், நிறைய ஓய்வுநேரம் கிடைக்கும் அமைப்பில் சேர்க்கலாம். ஒன்பதாம் வகுப்புக்குப்பின் போட்டியைப்பற்றி யோசித்தால் போதும். கல்வியில் ஆர்வமுள்ள குழந்தை என்றால் ஒன்பது பத்து மேலிரு வகுப்புகளிலேயே மற்ற பிள்ளைகளுக்கு நிகராக போட்டியில் நின்றிருக்கவும் முடியும். அது இளமையையும் இழந்திருக்காது//
